We could not sustain these valuable resources to our community without our partnership with Easterseals Iowa and community members like you.  Adaptive and durable medical equipment is expensive.  Please consider supporting our efforts by donating.  Monetary donations help us with operational costs of maintaining our equipment and grow our equipment inventory.  We also accept new and gently used equipment donations.

Do you have equipment that you are no longer using?

  • We accept donations of usable durable medical and adaptive equipment. We ask that you make sure that all equipment that is being donated is in usable, workable condition.
  • If the equipment is in usable condition, please contact ARK by leaving a message at 563-556-1785 or email us at [email protected]    Sending us a picture of the equipment is helpful.
  • ARK will reach out to you after determining if we would accept the equipment to make an appointment to drop off equipment.
  • If we are unable to accept your donation, we will direct you to other options.
  • An ARK volunteer will be able to assist you with filling out a donation form and unloading equipment if needed.
  • After making the donation, you will receive a letter from Easterseals Iowa acknowledging your donation.

Do you still want to help?

  • We accept monetary donations via cash or check by mail PO. Box 3024, Dubuque, Iowa 52004
  • Paypal and Venmo coming soon.

“On September 4th, 2018, my life was turned upside down in ways I could have never imagined. After spinal cord surgery left me paralyzed from the waist down and I spent 2 months in inpatient care at Mayo, I came home to start this new life of disability in a wheelchair at the age of 53. A month after being discharged and moving into a more accessible home, I found myself browsing the ARK Advocates website after being told about it by a friend and PT staff. On the website, I discovered their extensive inventory, and I spotted a standing frame I thought could be useful to my recovery.  I have also checked out walkers to try out.  As we were not ready to make a decision on purchasing equipment yet, ARK Advocates equipment loan program gave me the opportunity to “test them out” without making a financial commitment.

ARK Advocates has been invaluable to me. Those opportunities have shown me that I do have areas of independence that I can and will achieve…with a little help from my friends!!!”
